Flow Forming

Our supplier has developed a method where conical as well as cylindrical tubes are formed in cold condition on a mandrel. Both aluminium and steel can be worked. By adjusting the degree of reduction and speed (austenitic form hardening), yield points of 2 800 N/mm² and hardnesses up to 60 HRC have been reached in steel.
